A hand forged damascus kiritsuke with brass inlay
Just finished up this kiritsuke. Did something a little different this time, added some inlayed brass.
I have always preferred the Japanese kiritsuke over other style blades, I think it is the appearance more than the functionality of it. The typical ”Chefs Knife pattern” in my opinion has little to no appeal. But a good Damascus steel always helps with that otherwise unattractive blade.
Thought I would go even further with the Japanese design. So, it ended up with a rendering of bamboo inlayed on the ash handle.
320 layers of 1080/15n20 Damascus. As always, the metal was folded/forged here in my shop. No imported Damasus here!
I have it listed on Etsy! Take a look… Hand Forged Damascus Kiritsuke With Brass Inlay – Etsy
